I just got a new computer with a fine 22 inch flat screen. It displays internet pics and my own pics incredibly well. But the files I play in RealPlayer are not up to the same quality. Why not? Is there a better version of RealPlayer that I can get that will play my videos in “high def” quality?
Neither a high-resolution monitor nor a high-resolution video player are going to add quality to a video image when that quality does not already exist in the original video image. RealPlayer video files are highly compressed, and that compression degrades the image quality through losss of detail. Once the detail is lost, you can’t get it back regardless of the quality of your hardware or software.
