A coworker told me he saw ads for something like that, but my googling has failed.

I don’t think he was talking about that Friday The 13th TV series from years ago (I hope not).

Probably referring to Oddities on the Science Channel. Not so much a pawn shop, but an antique shop dealing with weird shit.
