Really cool election site and stuff I learned

I stumbled on 270towin quite by accident, but found the site fascinating! Looking at the electoral maps for every US presidential election in our history, all on one page, is enlightening.

Some quick presidential election tidbits I learned:
-Washington DC is the only political entity that has given it’s electors to the same party in every eligible election - the Democratic party. DC only got a voice in the Electoral College in 1961, but still.
-Since 1792, only 2 candidates have carried all but one state in a contested election - Nixon (1972) and Reagan (1974).
-In 1982, Reagan came within 3,800 Michigan votes of carrying all 50 states.
-1968 was the last election where a 3rd party candidate received any electoral votes.

Fun way to kill time!

Do you mean 1984 and Minnesota for the Reagan tidbit?

Maybe…
