Really funny (or awful) joke from the Car Talk guys

The Car Talk guys really cracked themselves up over this one…
You may have to say the answer aloud a couple of times to get it.

Q. What do you call a bomb explosion in a French kitchen?

A. Linoleum blown apart.

No, it’s a Napolean blown apart.

Regards,
Shodan

I thought chicken Napolean was when you only used the boney part.

What’s this about bologna parts?

If it happened in an Irish kitchen, you might only be left with the Maloney parts.

This one’s a couple of decades old.

Female caller: I have a 1982 Volkswagen Quantum…

Car Guy: And you need to find a Quantum mechanic?

I remember a woman they were talking to who lived in Hawaii. She was complaining about some noise her car was making. They responded that her problem was that she lived in paradise. They advised her to move to Boston where she could experience real weather to whine about, then she wouldn’t even notice that noise. (this would have been mid 80’s)

That’s funny.

I also remember them reading a letter from a listener who asked if they had ever seen a UPS truck parked legally.

They said that this so intrigued them that for a year they watched to see if they could find one. They finally did, and were going to contact UPS to commend the guy, but then were afraid if they did, he’d be fired.

Love those guys! Haven’t the slightest interest in auto mechanics, but invariably feel cheered up just listening to how much those guys enjoy each other, and what they do.

AND, they snort when they laugh, and laugh about that too. Love 'em!

The problem with the Quantum was in the speedometer/odometer – you could either get it to register speed or distance accurately, but not both at the same time.

No, that’s the 1938 Heisenberg Touring Car. Pretty sure.

Heh Snort, and there ya go.

You all probably already know the brothers did the voices of the Rust-Eze proprietors in the Pixar movie Cars. Very definitely in-character.

WBUR did a fundraiser selling tickets to a special screening of Cars with Tom and Ray in attendance and answering questions. It was fun.
