I think I remember reading an article that mentioned some theory that when the economy gets tougher, the waitresses get hotter.
Its actually harder to be a bimbo than most people think. There are actually a lot of hot women out there. There are very few rich men who aren’t actually distasteful to ‘date’ and the ones that are acceptable generally don’t need to keep a steady girlfriend, they can get laid with the “when I was in law school” line for the price of a cosmo and a ride in their beemer. The competition in the bimbo world is rough.
Saleswomen have to make their numbers, and you don’t do that without work on top of those good looks. Being an executive admin these days is not easy - there aren’t a lot of “secretaries” left to work up through the pool and almost no young admins left. As they retire, they aren’t getting replaced by admin assistants, they are getting replaced by MBAs since your 21st century executive can make his own travel arrangements (maybe by calling corporate travel) and type his own emails. That leaves Hooter’s waitress, and there just aren’t enough Hooters to employ every hot young woman.

The idea being that unemployment hits a bunch of people but attractive women are better able to get service work in areas like waitressing, bartending, cashier, etc where their attractiveness is an asset in making customers happy. So when a super hot girl takes your order at McDonald’s, the reason may be because she lost her “privileged” job like so many others have but scored her current job over the mundane looking plebs.
Anecdote time. One of my earliest jobs when I was sixteen was working at a cinema, which usually meant I was either working the concession stand or (even worse) cleaning out the theaters after every showing. It was a pretty crappy job with equally crappy pay, but at least I got free movies and popcorn.
There was one other perk though: one of my teenage co-workers was a tall brunette who was smoking hot. Could easily be a fashion model. And then she surprised me one day: she told me she actually was a model. She even showed me a magazine spread, and yep, there she was, modeling some outfit. Why on earth was she working in a crappy theater? Apparently it’s hard to get steady modeling work in Texas, so until she got enough bread to move to LA or wherever she had to settle for what work she could get.
I always wondered if she “made it” or not. Sadly, I can’t remember her name so have no way finding out.
I was wondering that too. Also the more attractive girls I’ve seen in fast food joints generally man the cash registers.

The cosmo (or appletini, or some other ‘not a martini in a martini glass made fairly sweet’) is also essential, don’t leave it out of your notes, you’ll fail the final.
And for god’s sake, YOU aren’t drinking it, you are buying it for her. You drink beer or scotch or bourbon - and not the cheap stuff. You have to give off the vibe that makes her think “if I give this guy the best blow job of his life, I can be a suburban soccer mom, live in comfort, and never have to work again.”
Works for me, and I don’t pay for a subscription.

I lived in a college town that was full of hot women working menial jobs. that is because menial jobs were the only jobs available. Now if you are talking about a larger city, that could be different.
