Recast GAME OF THRONES... as an '80s show

This excellent coverof the GAME OF THRONES theme music as done in the 80s has me wondering: if the books had premiered 25 years earlier and the show had been a big budget 1980s offering, who would it have starred?

A few of my suggestions (you may disagree on any of them):

One of the agreements made in filming this show was that, whenever possible, actors from the surrounding areas of filming would be utilized. (i.e. UK, Ireland, etc).

Are we not assuming that with the '80s show? Because many of these choices wouldn’t fit the bill.

I think Scott Baio works better as Jon Snow. Add a bit of that ridiculous 80s charm and carefree-ness to the drab and dreary Wall. Can we throw in Willie Ames as Sam? No, Willie Ames is Loras. Which makes Scott Baio Renly. Damn. I’m going to throw a wrench in here and make Charlotte Rae be Sam. Which makes George Clooney be Jon Snow.

I’m tossing the suggestion of Hulk Hogan as the Hound, because Richard Moll was born to play that role.
