I thought Mark Ronson was all bullshit hipster lounge covers but the version of Valerie (originally by the Zutons) he does with Amy Winehouse has just blown me away. It is the perfect pastiche. It’s not a bad song, but it’s written in Eddie Vedder meter and the odd tempo of lyrics to music rubs me the wrong way on that one.
