What if the recent surge in support for Obama from powerful democrats is due to these bigwigs’ being happy to have the weaker person in the position of power?
Is that possible? What evidence could be adduced for or against the notion that it is true?
Why would Democratic bigwigs want to see the weaker person in power? Isn’t it more likely that, as Obama’s campaign grows stronger, a bandwagon effect has come into play?
The democratic big-wigs you talk of are jumping on the candidate they feel can clearly win against McCain. As more do this, you’ll see the party naturally coalesce towards Obama and then eventually he’ll rise to a nominee.
If I’ve learned anything over the years, the only thing a politician hates more than *supporting something that turned out to be bad * is not supporting something that turned out to be good.
Witness the Iraq authorization vote. I’d guess that most of these folks see the writing on the wall and want to back the winner while their foresight can be congratulated.
What if the surge is due to these bigwigs being masked zombie vampire wombats, who would be happy to have Obama in a position of power where they could infect him as part of their plan to institute a new world zombie vampire wombat order?
Is that possible? What evidence could be adduced for or against the notion that it is true?
Why this need on your part to believe someone is secretly controlling (or out to control) Obama? What evidence do you have for your theories?
I was flipping around radio stations last night, and I noticed Michael Savage is pushing this conspiracy-minded “Who are the secret powers behind Obama?” theme. Could that perhaps be where you’re picking it up?
Yes, with each state he wins he looks progressively weaker and weaker to the party establishment. Soon he will have won so many states that there won’t be any more states left to win. Too late will her realize that he is unable to continue his streak of primary victories and having fallen into their clever trap he will become mere fodder for the shadowy puppet masters.
Or they just like to back the winning horse. One of the two I suppose.
At first, a lot of people doubted that Obama had a chance: some because of his inexperience (he hasn’t proven himself), some because they wondered whether America was ready to elect a black man. They wanted to support him, but had doubts and reservations about doing so. The more success Obama has, the more he has overcome those doubts and reservations that he is electable.
