Recommend a good MP3 player for a car

So I’m starting to look into buying an MP3 CD player for my vehicle. My main concern is ease of use, mainly in regards to navigating through a bunch of MP3’s. I know this has a lot to do with how I create the file system and organize the MP3’s in the first place, so I’m looking more for tips on players that allow for easy navigation through files, display track names clearly, and are basically straightforward so I don’t have to feel the need to pull over every time I want to change tracks.

I’m trying to keep the price around $300 dollars, and I also want something with a detachable face or some other security feature. I’ve also done a little research on car jukeboxes, but from what I can tell they don’t have the best navigation systems and setting them up is very cumbersome.

Please let me know your experiences with car MP3 players and let me know what you recommend. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I’ll post here since you asked the other thread to be closed.

I currently use a Pioneer DEH 8400 MP deck in my Matrix. Pretty decent deck with a folding front flap (folds down to show a small LCD screen) and it makes “hiding” the deck easy (when you turn off your car the front folds down for you to pull off). Never had any problems playing MP3s and WMA (you need to finalize your CDs though) and it’s pretty powerful as well (200 watts).

It was a bit pricey when I got mind but it should be cheaper now (there are higher end models now).

I use my Archos 10 gig mp3 player in my car with a tape drive hookup. I know this isn’t necessarily an option if you already have a CD player in your car though. For what it is worth, I have absolutely no problems with it whatsoever. It is in the 100 dollar range now I think since the 20gig+ drives are around 150-200.
