How about DuffMan? Similar enough to your current name, plus it gives you an excuse to type in the third person. Examples:

“Duffman thinks your liberal upbringing is the reason for your lack of reason! Oh yeah!”
Also, my grandfather told me of how the Dope used to be decades ago, when Czarcasm was slythe, and toyed with changing his name to Chicken of Bristol before going with his current nom de guerre.
Hence teh funny inherent in his suggestion of that name.

You know, duffer, I’ve thought about doing the same thing. Something less bohemian sounding. When I came here, I thought I’d mostly be involved in art-related postings, but found there virtually are none. And I had no idea I’d become involved in so many politically-oriented threads where my user name would seem so contrary to my political beliefs. Fortunately, you’ve shown me what would become of that idea. (Better you than me, chum. 
)
However, I must say Cheney’s Codpiece is too funny, although it doesn’t exactly roll off the keyboard. It’ll be dated in a few years, too.
For my money, I’d say stick with duffer. Whenever I see your name I think of you in terms of the content of your posts (and the wit often contained therein ) and not at all as a “casual golfer.”
