Basically, I’d want a company that doesn’t charge a lot for domain name registration and still offers some free webhosting with each domain name (nothing fancy).
I own a bunch of domain names and I have these registered with Directnic and they are a bit expensive.
I think this belongs in GQ as opposed to IMHO. (I hope I’m right).
By “basic” do you mean a parked page? If so, GoDaddy’s dirt cheap.
GoDaddy GoDaddy GoDaddy GoDaddy
I own about 75 domain names, all through them. I’ve used about a dozen other hosts (including having to “rescue” my clients from other hosts) and www.GoDaddy.com is the bestus.
I cannot speak for any of their “add ons” but they sure have a heck of alot. I know they have free parking.
It seems GoDaddy is the best.
Thanks folks.
I’ve heard good things about GoDaddy, so no knock there. Just to offer an alternative, my company has several hundred domains at BulkRegister and I’ve been very happy with them. I don’t think they’re as inexpensive as GoDaddy, but they’re fairly cheap, have great management tools, and have very good customer service when we’ve had issues (invariably caused by another registrar, not by BulkRegister).
