I’ve been using MSNBC as my start page for the last couple of years. I’m bored to tears with it and want a new one. Please, give me some suggestions.

I use www.google.ca . All I have to do is hit the “Home” button in my browser (or the keyboard shortcut), or open a new browser window, and I’m ready to search.
Of course, the Google Toolbar would do the same trick.
I use my city’s weather forecast on www.weather.gov. However, the first thing I usually click is the toolbar link to my gmail account, so that would be a good suggestion too.

I’m an American, and I find that habitually reading a non-American news source is enlightening. There’s a lot of news unfavorable to Americans which simply doesn’t get reported in the American press. I recommend to everybody to read a news source from a country not their own.

Why have a start page, particularly a slow-loading one like MSNBC? Whenever I fire up my browser I want to go to some particular place. Having it start out by going someplace else is just stupid.
I ain’t stupid and I don’t think any of the other folks who use a specific start page are stupid either. What is stupid is labeling people one doesn’t know.
I checked out googe.com, there doesn’t seem to be anything there–why not build a website, hm? 
My starter page is yahoo.ca, if that helps.
Mine is a page on my hard drive that has all the links I regularly use.
My browser has a “Bookmarks” menu for the links I regularly use.
Download Firefox. Set multiple tabs to load multiple “home pages” with your favorite Web sites.
ATM, my home pages are the SDMB, Google, Fark, and Romenesko’s.
I’m with Athena, I use Opera and have several start pages: SpaceflightNow, Sax on the Web, Google News, Fark, the SD Home Page, and my subscribed threads list for this forum. Much easier than only having one page.
I’m using Firefox even as we speak. I want a good source for news, and the BBC suggestion is probably what I will use. I’d like to have a good source for tech news, and maybe something fun, but I don’t know what that would be—porn is out. More than anything, I’m bored and I want something new.
