I like a little chocolate now and then, but generally I find the bitter taste of even milk chocolate so strong that I always pair it with something very sweet. My favorite chocolate candies are Cadbury Creme eggs and Caramilk, to give you an idea.
The other day, I was having some chocolate and some dry roasted season peanuts at the same time for a snack, and it occurred to me, “wouldn’t it be nice if I could have all this in one package?” Did a little research online, but quickly got overwhelmed by the choices, so I thought I’d turn to the Dope for some candy guidance.
Snickers is usually the go-to for peanuts and chocolate, with some caramel for good measure. Also Baby Ruth. If you just want peanut flavor, then Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are the choice. That or Butterfingers.
Thanks! I’m not sure that a candy shell will be sweet enough for me, but I’ll keep my eyes open for those giant peanut M&Ms, and all the others mentioned!
If you don’t want to click on the link, “It consists of Reese’s Peanut Butter topped with roasted peanuts and caramel enrobed in chocolate-flavored coating.”
Though “chocolate-flavored coating” my sound a bit sketchy, this is one of my all-time favorite candy bars in terms of pure yumminess.
You’d probably enjoy the new Hershey’s bar, Hershey Gold. No chocolate in there, as far as I know, so if even milk chocolate is a bit bitter to you, that might be worth trying.
Hands down my favorite candy bar is Take 5. Peanut butter, caramel, pretzels, and peanuts covered in milk chocolate. The salty and sweet together is amazing!
