Inspired by this thread, obviously, and by my recently purchased but not-yet-in-hand BlackBerry Bold 9700.
So far, I know of one BlackBerry feature that I don’t like and that’s it’s fairly limited alarm clock (I was really hoping for the same kind of unlimited alarms my girlfriend’s iPhone has), so if anyone knows of a replacement alarm clock app, I’d love to hear about it.
The feature I most look forward to having is the spreadsheet, so I can (as I have long wanted to) carry my CD library and my DVD library with me at all times to avoid unintentionally purchasing duplicates.
Games like Tetris, crosswords, sudoku, hangman are very much sought, but anything you think is cool (especially if it’s free) is welcome.
There are a few alarm apps out there. Go to Blackberry App World.
However the calendar feature in the blackberry can accomodate unlimited alarms. Just set up the alarm events in your calander (date and time, they can even be reoccuring) and set up the notification and you’re set.
Favorite free apps:
Scoremobile
Bloomberg
Weatherbug
GoogleMaps (GPS enabled)
Pandora
Iheartradio
Viigo
OpenTable
Games:
Pixelated
Number Cruncher
Sudoku
SET
I’m also on board with Pixelated and Number Cruncher (the game I play the most). I also like Next (Dual Pack) - a puzzle game, Numb Thumb - a typing tutor game, and Ka-Glom - a sort of Tetris/Dr. Mario-ish game. I got Ka-Glom when it was free (don’t know if it still it), but the other two were pay apps.
I love SET too, but it doesn’t seem to be available for my Curve.
