Recommend some Dance Music for my wife!

Ah, good! Then you both might like these two other favorite Usher songs of mine:

“Scream”

“More”

Let’s see if this works. I’ve created a youtube list for dance:

This is the list I posted above, minus the belly dance music, and some cuts that most people probably wouldn’t consider dance music. Plus a couple that I thought of that I don’t have on my computer

Not sure what is going on here. Could be some sort of clickbait but they sound nice.

Jeez, how I miss the '80s!

One more from the '80s:

My playlist has the following oldies but goodies.

Creedance Clearwater Revival
Aretha Franklin
Ella Fitzgerald
Louis Armstrong
Count Basie
Billie Holiday
Rolling Stones
Elvis Costello
Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass
Al Jarreau
David Bowie.

“Express Yourself” - Madonna

A few from the '90s:

Thanks again for all of the excellent recommendations, it’s helped me remember several things I had been forgetting about, including sending me in directions that I might not have considered.

The Wife has been very much enjoying the playlist that we’ve been building, and it’s always gratifying when I catch her in the corner of my eye doing a little chair dance to one of her favorites.

The list is up to 79 songs at this point, and I’d really like to get it over 100 at some point, so additional recommendations are always welcome. In the meantime, due to my somewhat disorganized approach to this, there are still more recommendations to explore, so I’ll be sure to share my progress as the list approaches (and hopefully exceeds) its goal.

Dolly Parton got into the dance scene last year.

How about some hardbass?

Another three she (and you) might like:

You really can’t go wrong with Everything But the Girl: Amplified Heart, Walking Wounded, or Temperamental.

(whole album)

(whole album)

One song - “Low Tide of the Night”

Something more experimental and 80s-tinged: the Hotline Miami soundtrack. (the first track is approximately 10 minutes long and very experimental, so you might want to skip to the second song to get to the dance-able part)

Your wife probably won’t like this, but being a metalhead, you might:

Another great from the '80s:

Just found this thread and was going to suggest Halestorm’s cover of Bad Romance and Get Lucky.

Halestorm with Lizzy Stirling: Shatter Me

Pretty Reckless: Heaven Knows

In this moment: Beautiful Tragedy

Mambo number 5

“Love Shack”

Original:

Thrash Metal style:

Cumbia?

Maybe somethin’ a little more rocking’?

And for something not like those things at all: everyone loves Mr. Oizo (and Flat Eric, natch)!

How about this other Christina Aguilera song.
