I started a folder called Satire in my browser bookmarks just for this page: Open Letter - Intelligent Design. It would be nice to add some quality satire URLs to keep it company. Yeah, like it has anthropomorphic feelings, right.
I read Jonathan Swift and Alexander Pope in high school AP English. After that, my satire library could use a little updating. As if.
I recommend some PJ O’Rourke, especially Parliament of Whores and All the Trouble in the World. Also, Christopher Buckley’s **Thank You for Smoking[/b[ still has snob appeal until the movie comes out.
Try to hunt down some National Lampoon anthologies, the older the better. The trifecta of Henry Beard, Doug Kenny and Michael O’Donoghue set the tone for a generation’s humor. Tony Hendra has written some good stuff as well, but I hesitate to actually endorse it right now.
And hey, there’s that bitchin’ New Yorker CD collection…

I posted a thread a few days ago to spruik Opponents of Wrathful Dispersion maintain it’s really just Babelism. Well worth a look (although nobody in MPSIMS thought so).

Looks like Satire Central 
This (PDF!) is an old PJ O’Rourke piece about nationalites around the world.
He has this bit about the French, “Sawed-off sissies who eat snails and slugs and cheese that smells like people’s feet. They take filthy pictures of each other with cheap cameras, wash nothing but their cunts, fight with their feet, and perform sex acts with their faces. Utter cowards who force their own children to drink wine, they gibber like baboons even when you try to speak to them in their own wimpy language.”
That’s one of the tamer ones.
Landover Baptist Church is good, unless you’re an uptight fundie. Then you might not realize that it’s satire.
