Recommend some (homemade) calzone fillings

'til you try a nutella and sirloin calzone then your appetite will be verily restored.

If there’s a Trader Joe’s near you, they sell bags of pre-made pizza dough for $1.79!

My local Price Chopper sells them for about $1.

$1.79 indeed! :stuck_out_tongue:

You know the joke about Heaven and Hell, and who are the cooks in Hell?
Yes?
Well, we may have to re-think that…

Steak, onion, potato, and rutabaga. In other words, a pasty. You can leave out the beggy if you want, but they’re better with. Oh, serve them with gravy. Yum!

There’s not even a Trader Joe’s in the whole state of Texas. I should look into refrigerated pizza dough though. I never knew if it was any good.

The spinach variation that I make contains sauteed leeks and garlic, one package chopped frozen spinach (defrosted, with liquid squeezed out of it), feta cheese, and crushed fennel seeds, if you like. Sometimes I add an egg to this mixture. IIRC it started out life as a filling for pasta. It’s yummy.
