Recommend TV series on NetFlix

Just got caught up-to-date on:

Walking Dead
Breaking Bad
Sons of Anarchy

Can anyone recommend shows/series to watch?

quick edit: Mad Men is on my list…

Freaks and Geeks. It’s short, sweet and totally awesome.

Battlestar Galactica(2004)

“Damages” surprised me. I’m not into “law” shows, but this really is just more of a thriller. The first season is amazing.

Definitely check out Sherlock, BBC, two short seasons available now.

There are several British mystery/drama series in my queue that I’ve heard good things about – The Hour, Luther, Copper – but I haven’t watched yet.

Luther is good, but it’s tough to watch at times – it’s all violent crimes and it’s pretty violent. Idris Elba is great in it, of course.

My wife and I are also in the middle of watching The Riches, though we haven’t watched much of it in the past couple weeks. She’s circled back on Mad Men and started watching Once Upon a Time with our daughter in the meantime. We also just watched the first two seasons of Raising Hope.

Also Being Human.

If you want to mix some comedy in there, check out “The IT Crowd”. It is hilarious with a touch of British comedy trappings. Now keep in mind, I generally do not like British comedy stylings but this series is pretty damn funny.

If you want just ONE episode that will tell you if you like the series or not, check out “Season 4, Episode 4 - Italian for Beginners”, the “Sea Parks” scene alone waters my eyes!

Ooooh, I’ll second that big-time.

See Sherlock before anything else.

*Luther
The Wire
Battlestar Galactica(2004)
Damages

For short comedies, in addition to IT Crowd, look for

The Inbetweeners
Parks and Recreation
30 Rock
Arrested Development

The Misfits.

Pushing Daisies if it’s available.

x-files

MI-5 and Foyle’s War are worth a look.

The Killing (the Danish version) if available. If not available, buy the box set.

You’ll thank me

Does NetFlix have HBO’s Rome? If so, jump on board.

My wife and I watched the entire series of *Leufa *(hey, that’s how he pronounced it in the show :)) over the course of a week. It was good, but it really deserved more than 2 seasons, if only to see him really lose it at the end.

In real life, Luther would have been a psychopath…even if he did start off as a coppa.

The IT Crowd? A touch of British comedy trappings? Really? That’s like saying The Big Bang Theory has a touch of nerd humor.

Don’t get me wrong, I like The IT Crowd; Moss is freaking hilarious, but there are classic Brit slapstick and inside references aplenty.

Now excuse me while I sing the new emergency services number…“oh one one eight, nine nine nine, eight eight one nine nine, nine one one nine, seven two five …three.”

I like several of the USA Network shows:
Burn Notice
In Plain Sight
White Collar
Suits

Then there is:
Homeland
The Killing
Eureka
Highlander
The Big C
Drop Dead Diva

I second:
Damages
The Riches
Mad Men
The Hour

That should get you started. So much TV, so little time.

Justified.
