Recommendations for blisters on toe?

Asking for opinions about foot amputations belongs in imho. Moved.

In the interim before you see the doctor, the “do no harm” angle would suggest treating them like blisters, with moleskin or whatever. If they’re warts, that won’d do any harm and might help with comfort.

Are they an area where you’d expect to get blisters? As in, somewhere a shoe might rub against them? If not, that would suggest the wart theory.

If it does prove to be blisters, you might need new shoes: even the best don’t last forever. For right now, maybe wear sandals to let the affected areas have a rest from the shoes.

Back to the “scrape off callus” topic. I’ve never understood that. Yeah, calluses are unattractive, but they develop because that area is undergoing a lot of routine pressure / irritation. The callus develops to protect that. Unless it’s flaking away in a painful manner (in which case, a pumice stone would smooth it down and make it more comfortable), my attitude has been “leave it be; if the irritation stops happening it’ll go away on its own”.
