I’ve always wanted to write that. Anyway, Seattlites, what do you recommend? If I don’t get an answer by 2000, I’m just going to wander down toward Post Alley until some Pho place pulls me in or I pass by somewhere that looks like they can out together a promising Martini (in which case I’ll order two).
Save me from my own ignorance. Recommend something good.

If you haven’t been reeled into a Pho palace by the time you’ve reached the southern end of Post Alley, you’ll be within a few blocks of Madison. Following Madison down to the waterfront will land you on the doorstep of Ivar’s, which is a Seattle institution (translation: the food, while certainly OK, ain’t anything to cross the country for, but it’s a place where locals will take their visiting relatives because it’s “expected”). Given the prevailing weather, best bet would be to sit out on the deck where you can share your meal with the seagulls.
So where did you end up? I didn’t even know there was pho to be had in Post Alley.
Moving thread from IMHO to Cafe Society.
