At this rate, the only smart one here is going to be yourself. Why does this not surprise me?
I mean, sheesh! Bricker’s not smart. Jodi’s not smart. Many other posters are not smart. Dude, perhaps you should rent a brain cell. I should think that doubling your thinking capacity can only help.
That makes at least twice in this thread where someone you thought of as “one of the smarter ones” proved to be an idiot because they got the wrong impression about you. I wonder how many more it’d take before you started to consider if maybe it really is you that’s the problem.
I musta missed this one. I disagree with a great deal Bricker has to say, but to suggest that the guy is only of average intelligence and not at least two or three standard deviations from the mean smarter than your average citizen is just willful ignorance. That, and he is not usually a fool (the I won’t endorse Obama 'cuz of his followers debacle aside). Well, one man’s obscenity is another’s lyric and all that I suppose.
No, because you have not addressed the charges made in the OP, and I have chosen to not press because there’s been plenty of other traffic for you to answer.
I’d be willing to take the discussion to e-mail or PM to avoid the problem.
Frankly, Bricker would you have done the same for Beryl Mooncalf? Rand Rover is very obviously not overwhelmed, and is not attempting to seriously answer a multitude (as you’ve done in many threads), he is cherry-picking his answers according to who he believes he can best respond to in a trollish fashion.
This is ridiculous. Let’s say a survey is done. A situation is presented to 1000 people, and they are asked whether the situation should elicit empathy or sympathy. 51% of them say yes. Are you telling me that the other 49% necessarily have something wrong with their brains?
What if 75% say yes? Do the other 25% necessarily have something wrong with their brains?
This is a seven page thread about how Rand Rover allegedly lacks compassion and empathy in the Pit. Come again? Even the recently (2/24/09) Revised Forum Rules for BBQ Pit state:
If posters want sympathy, why not save everyone’s eyes, and troubling the Mods to move threads, etc., and just post that sympathy-seeking crap in MPSIMS?
Who knows or cares whether Rover is compassionless? He is not who he presents himself to be here. That facade is too important to him. If he were who he says that he is, that wouldn’t be important. Respect wouldn’t be important. He’s insecure, immature, and desperate. Even if he had been an attorney, he would have been so in violation of Ethics Codes just from what he has written here, that he would be out on his patootie.
Would you really want this man for an attorney? Neither would anyone else. Do you think his attitude doesn’t show in his day-to-day dealings with the people he associates with? Of course it does. He’s either the silent angry type or the obnoxious angry type. Either way, he’s not the guy you want to share a cubicle with at the insurance company.
But he is the guy you can point to when you get banned and say, “How come I got banned for being a jerk and he didn’t?”
I have, and your point is what? That the OP of said thread wasn’t seeking sympathy for him/herself, yeah, but that’s just RO, which is even worse, IMO.
I’m not really saying that. I’m saying that when one rents property, then there are all sorts of reasonably foreseeable scenarios that involve the person not being able to live there any more. A sale of the property is one of them. A foreclosure is just a forced sale of the property to the bank.
Again, that was just one example of the many things this lady could have done to increase her ability to live in that house for as long as possible. I realize it would be an odd thing to do.
But that doesn’t have to occur. The new owner can also evict the tenant (giving whatever notice is required by law).
Sure there are differences, but for the purpose I’m concerned about they are all the same–they are ways that a lessee becomes dispossessed of the property.
