Your article on Dr Bronner was of interest to me as I knew the man.
It sounded a bit harsh and sarcastic to me
You forgot to mention that he spent the last half of his life blind. He wore glasses with lenses as thick as coke bottles and dark green to keep the light out of his eyes. He died in 1998, after being married to his second wife,
gladys, for 38 years
You also did not seem to realize that he was a great and just man, with great compassion for humanity. Although eccentric, he’s done more good for the world by creating and providing healthy products than most of the sheeple out there. He holds the gold standard in organic soaps… always has and probably always will… but the gold in his heart far outshined anything man could ever make.

If you read through Cecil’s other columns, you’ll find that his sarcastic attitude is what many of us love about his work. Anyone can write a column with just facts; many people can write columns that are amusing. It takes Cecil Adams to write a column that both pokes fun and still has the information.
I always find it difficult to take seriously an argument about how someone was wise and compassionate to his fellow man by a person who refers to the same group of human beings as sheeple.
