Regarding the main page

I am using the Simple Sam theme. On the main page (thank you to whomever changed it from the original to the current look), the right hand side of the screen is “Latest” posts but they are not just the latest in each forum, they are the latest for the SDMB as a whole. Is it possible to get them listed just for each forum, like the old site did?

I found this but it looks to be a setting the admin has to set for the whole site: How to alter Discourse main page style - #2 by jomaxro - ux - Discourse Meta

I do agree I would like that better.
