Law and Order Border Patrol
Law and Order: PTA
Law and Order: Ministery of Magic*
Law and Order: Jury Duty Summons
Law and Order: Prank Call Unit
Law and Order: Sanitation Committee
*Especially appropriate since Sam Waterston’s daughter is the lead actress in the Fantastic Beasts series. (Anyone else think it would be cool if he made a cameo as a wizarding lawyer?)
L&O: School Truancy
L&O: Restaurant Inspection (what people won’t do for that letter!)
L&O: Liquor Board
Chicago Parking Enforcement?
CSI: Litter Patrol
I picture Law and Order: UK as a weird crossover between Inspector Lewis and Rumpole.
I liked Marvel’s Damage Control series. Unfortunately it didn’t last too long.
In fact, the early episodes are just like L&O mothership, except for the accents and the wigs. They adapted several classic episodes and changed only what was necessary to fit London.
Law & Order:
- School Safety Division
- Chaplains Unit
- Pipes and Drums
These are actual NYPD units. Their stories need to be told.
*Law and Order: Records Department *
The first half hour is filing. The second half is making copies.
Dead Animal Removal Unit
Expired Tags Towing Squad
Post-Game Traffic Control Unit (I actually did this)
-
L&O: Police Athletic League
-
Alas, Rudy merged MTA Police into NYPD in the 1990s thus reducing chances for what would have been the extraordinarily gritty L&O: Transit
-
L&O: Administrative Leave (the way TV portrays police work, the cast would be spending half the season there…)
That was the last episode of the series almost, except it was teachers on administrative leave. They didn’t sit quietly and think about what they had done, though.
L&O: Light Duty - half an hour of cops doing busy work while their workman’s comp claims go through, half an hour of them going to see quacks (workman’s comp doctors.
L&O: ROAD - cops at the end of their career trying to do as little as humanly possible.
L&O: Music Unit
“A performance of ‘Galway Bay’ by the boys of the NYPD choir is interrupted by an Irish couple having a homophobic argument.”
Law and Order: Black Flag, " I’ve only got one week until I retire.""
L&O: Bus Patrol (I did this when I was in 8th grade. Mainly because I was last off the bus)
