Religious conversion: Childhood vs Adulthood

Hi,

Does anyone know of any studies that compared religious conversions at childhood vs adulthood? Ideally the adults were not in vulnerable groups: inmates, cancer patients, etc

Compared in what sense? Rates of conversion? Reasons for conversion? (I would expect that many childhood “conversions” are coerced to some extent by parents, grandparents, or other close relatives, conversions in adulthood, not so much)

What counts as a “conversion”? Does someone switching from Orthodox Judaism to Conservative Judaism, or switching from Episcopalian to Lutheran count, or do you only mean things like converting from Islam to Buddhism or Hinduism to Christianity?

Any/all of the above works. I was intentionally non-specific to see what was out there
