Apparently he’s now Alexis Valoran Reich. Yup, he got a sex change to a she and now lives as a woman.

It’s unclear from the Wiki story exactly what he confessed, and to who. It sounds like he confessed to Thai authorities in Thailand, and also at a press conference in Thailand. I’m doubtful he could be prosecuted in the US for that. But his story seems to have changed, or the scope of his confession decreased, once he was back in the States.
It sounds like he falls solidly in the category of weirdo transsexual - not executive at all.
The article doesn’t mention whether he lives in a cave.
I remember the incident very well. Jesus, what a media scrum that was. His “confession” was carefully worded to sound good superficially at first. Can’t remember the exact phrases he used. Something having been with her when she died. But good riddance to the sad fuck. He’d been working as an English teacher here.
