Exactly what I saw, of course. Doesn’t mean I won’t call them out on it. It’s people like that who have kept this plague spreading and spreading. They deserve to be shamed for it, even if they themselves don’t feel shame.
Speaking of which: in our state, the governor’s executive order limits indoor gatherings to no more than eight people from up to two different households. One of our neighbors is evidently having a major Thanksgiving whoop-de-doo. There are at least 11 vehicles parked over there; I figure a minimum of 30 people.
Fortunately, our interactions with that family involve nothing more than an occasional wave at a distance of at least 100 yards. But if a lot of people are behaving similarly, I’d expect a case surge in the county in the coming weeks.

I shudder to think what’s going to happen over the next 3 to 4 weeks. I saw a story a couple days back that 1 in 5 hospitals are out of room (meaning, qualified staff) for patients. Not just COVID-19, but all the entire ICU. People are waiting 24 hours for a bed.
It’s going to be really, really bad.
Just an update. I am now 91kg, which is around 200lbs. I reduced my portions and increased my exercise, and have lost around 1kg a week. I am not sure how far I can keep up that rate, but if I get to 80kg/175lbs by end of February I’ll be rapt.
I’m fortunate enough not to have heard the Elton John song mentioned above (hence no earworm), but this lovely little landmine just tripped my PTSD from a 10 minute voyage through the Disneyland Ride. Gee thanks. 
Absolutely my most despised ear worm. Baby Shark is gaining ground.
As per usual, about a week after she finished her antibiotics, Samantha has the runs again. 
This time she’s going to the vet along with her bag o’ poop.
I guess I should count my blessings. At Zoom Thanksgiving yesterday, Oldest Sister told us all about how her family dog has been trying to die of pancreatitis since March.

Lololol. I’m lucky if I take a shower. My hair is long and unwieldy because I haven’t had a haircut in over a year. I’m still wearing maternity pants. None of my clothes fit anymore. If anyone could use a total makeover, it’s me, but we’re kind of in the middle of a global pandemic, and I don’t think “looking pretty” is high on the CDC’s priority list.

I know it’s petty, but I find this hilarious.
My neighbors put the smoker and a Butterball in their pickup truck yesterday morning, and went to have a whoop-de-doo at the home of one of their [adult] children. Both neighbors recently tested positive for COVID; because both had such mild cases, neither really stuck to much of a quarantine. 
This neighbor (the husband) typically helps me get the big Christmas tree into my house; after observing his (and his wife’s) lack of regard for the virus, my mother and I agreed to get a slightly smaller tree for the living room this year, so we would be able to manage it ourselves.
The tree lot deserves a rant of its own…this was the second year that I had to pick up and move trees on my own while the lot’s employees were wandering around either trying to place new trees on the already crowded lot, or falling over themselves to help the more ‘traditional’ families that arrived after us. Unfortunately, the only other lot around here that carries trees of this quality is in Raleigh, and it’s run by the same people.
