It was published in articles as early as 24 Oct. I read it in an Australian news site article 5 days ago, when the parents apologised for his actions.
So what is his name and why did they keep it hidden? The reason initially given was: “out of respect for his family”.
Ah. Wikipedia says it was Jose Reyes.
Reyes’ father, Jose Reyes Sr., said that his son assisted at the family’s coffee shop in Sparks. There had been troubles with the father battering the son.
Unless the family’s coffee shop is the head quarter of the Starbucks Imperium, what is the juice here? They seem just ordinary people in an extraordinary tragedy.
