I do remember when it seemed like there was a set dichotomy between “White” and “60% Whole Wheat.”
Then I guess someone noticed if you make whole-grain or multigrain bread widely available, people will buy it.

Yeah, I remember when wheat bread was fringe. It decorated all of my grooviest clothing in the 70s.
