removal of Detroits mayor hearing on TV

Kwame Kilpatrick is the mayor of Detroit. He has had a scandalous administration resulting with him at war with the City Council. There is a legal hearing going on right now. Gov, Grandholm is sitting in the judges chair. Both sides are presenting evidence like a trial. I do not know the level of proof necessary. Does she just decide he is too corrupt or does she require a preponderance of evidence. ?
This is unprecedented. The council apparently did not have the authority to remove him. Grandholm has been thrust into this lose/ lose situation. Many Kwame supporters will hate her if she removes him. The rest will be unhappy if she does not. She tried to avoid this over and over.

Is it local or national TV?

Trying to find it, live in New Jersey now…

Local. try online with WXYZ, WJBK or some other local station.

The mayor resigned and plead guilty. He will pay 1mill restitution, serve 4 months in jail, not run for office for 5 years, have 5 years probation. He gives up his law license. He also plead guilty to the assault of police officers. The sentencing for that will be in Oct. I will not miss him.He was ambitious, It was a grievous fault and grievously has he answered it.

Ouch.

It’s a big ouch, and that not even to mention the * case of the dead stripper* which has gone from “Conspiracy nut land” to “Well, ya at least gotta wonder”
