One of my bosses has had ‘System Soap’ on his PC for a long time. I went through the ‘control panel --> remove software’ thing.
But it still loads up on start up. It looks like it’s loading an HTML page from their site that alerts him to the joys of ‘System Soap’.
Does anyone know a way to remove this?
Get thee to Adaware on www.lavasoft.de
Install, update the reference file via the “globe”, run, quarantiene, and robert is your Mother’s Brother.
Much though I’m charmed by your choice of phrase that I’ve already tried. No go on this HTML thing.

If you’re running Win98, you can run msconfig, uncheck System Soap and though it’s not “gone”, it won’t start.
Adaware that TwistofFate suggested should remove the registry hack that allows it keep loading. It’s simple to use, and free.
