Whedon, that noted auteur, is said to be interested in the star of The Hurt Locker to play the archer.
But what of the Hulk?
Isn’t Norton still playing the Hulk?
I thought he was. But no mention of him in the piece I linked to (and a surprising, to me at least, listing of War Machine as a character in the film).
I still, however, have my fingers crossed.
Renner would be good doing nothing but reading his laundry list. 
I thought I read somewhere that they might get around using Norton by having the Hulk remain Hulked out the whole time.
Mightn’t they make the Hulk the villain? That would be interesting.
To me, at least.
Hey that might even work, and it was the reason they teamed up way back when to begin with, wasn’t it?
And I’d second Renner as Hawkeye. He’s pretty awesome.
Is it confirmed for sure that Ed Norton will play the Hulk in this movie? Or is that character out?
