One of my 2nd cousins moved in with me last fall and brought her two cats along. I’ve never had cats before, but they are pretty cool. Females, fixed, microchipped, the older one is a part tabby, the other is a tortoiseshell and who knows what, friendly and affectionate, with some quirks:
The older one likes to open the shutters and has tried hard to open drawers, doors, and cupboards; loves to play with ponytail holders and pen caps and anything that rolls on the floor; tilts her head to the right while walking and has lost some teeth (presumably from some trauma suffered when she lived on the streets before being picked up by animal control).
The younger one purrs very loudly, escorts me halfway down the street when I go for a walk, and loves to catch and eat bugs. She is shy around other cats and some humans.
They spend all day outside and conk out at night. We wish we could attach tiny cameras to them to find out where they disappear to at times and what they’re doing.
Here they are wrestling around Christmas time: Photobucket | Make your memories fun!
