This is what I come back to. The “justice” message only goes so far. People gravitate to strength and power, which is why I advocate a kind of left wing authoritarianism (let’s call it pragmatism). We will not win this fight by being kind, by being polite, by being bipartisan. We are surrounded by reptiles. We need to break out the Bowie knife. We’re going to have a fight. There is no way around it.
