Not only that, but the twerp tainting the office of president is cheering violence against the press while said twerp is getting slammed for his business connections with a regime that just murdered a member of tbe press. At this point, I would not be in the least surprused if Trump were to appear in public wearing the same uniform as Hitler did. After all, OITNB*.

If Trump had applauded the attack on the Guardian reporter while standing in some state other than Montana, I’d say it was a clear case of his wanting to signal ‘I approve of what the Saudis did to Khashoggi; it’s open season on journalists and I fully approve of any and all violence against them.’
But he was in Montana, surrounded by people who (in all likelihood) had voted for the guy who attacked the reporter. So that probably had something to do with the remarks–rather than being a pure expression of pro-MBS sentiment.
