Republicans aren’t going to let a botched economy negatively impact their image. Take a look at the newest campaign poster:

I don’t know what is going on in this photo, but thank god it is legal in the US <hums national anthem>. I’ve never felt such conservatism in all my life, I think I’d better go take a shower.
Which is worse? An inherited ailing economy or exploiting first-daughters who were never used as a campaign tool?
Remember, Gore’s children haven’t exactly been saints.
Gee, that’s nothing…
What about Al Gore? He was the “People’s Candidate”. Politically correct in all things, right?
As a senator in Tennessee, he sponsored a bill declaring “General Nathan Bedford Forrest Day” within his state. Other than being a famous Southern General during the Civil War, what ELSE was he famous for? (See answer waaaay below)
Gen. Forrest founded the KKK.
NOW tell me that Gore was the PC choice during the last election!
O
Waverly - have you investigated whether or not Jenna Bush is registered as a Democrat, a Republican, or neither? It is quite possible (and indeed at age 19 almost likely) that her political affiliations and/or position on issues differ significantly from her father’s.
That photo may be of a good ole liberal gal getting down and partying. I don’t know, and I doubt you do, either.

OK, the topic was a joke, I simply found the photo humorous and made up the rest to go with it. I was also careful not to say anything unkind about Jenna, because IMHO, she has a difficult row to hoe (note me resisting the ‘ho’ spelling). She has made mistakes, as I also did when I was her age, the notable difference being that she has to be embarrassed before the whole country. She also looks better in a skirt, but that is a different debate…
As for the political statements, I don’t favor one party over the other. I’m a registered republican, but voted democratic because I felt Gore was more qualified. I am, however, equally capable of mocking either party and their candidates.
I’d be happy to convert this thread to a serious debate, or perhaps we can just make up captions for this photo. I’ll start… how about: **Excuse me, but your chocolate is in my peanutbutter.
True, but only one party has placed significant importance on personal righteousness in recent years.
RTF:
Ummm. You want to think about that one for a second, maybe take it back, or do you wanna go with it?
As I see the right and left begin to polarize on the issue of Jenna getting tipsy, I’ll through this into the pot:

Jenna’s twin (and even prettier sister) Barbara meets the Pope. But all is not as it seems: I’ve extrapolated the photo into 3 dimensions and came up with a vector for the pontiff’s gaze… he doesn’t seem to be looking cough Miss Bush in the eyes…
duh. Ignore ‘through’ and read: ‘throw’.
I have a feeling this might end up on Democratic Underground’s Top Ten Conservative Idiots of the Week.
A fine idea. Let’s try to keep this thread confined to that.
::points to the cage:: See honey, that’s were the republicans and democrats fight and argue about things that don’t matter anymore. Why yes, it is scary.
Caption for photo 1: “Agent 42 proves she can indeed take a bullet for the president.”
A Coors Silver Bullet, and about a dozen of them if it is one…
Well, I can’t disagree there.
for the second picture
Barbara: “Your Holiness, is that a rosary in your robes or are you just happy to see me?”
(ta-dump)
I think I’m going to hell for that one.
