Request on Dealing with Trolls

Hiya peoples …

Just a small request. I just got through attempting to deal with the MM posts and the resulting thread hijackings. If you could please, though, please don’t deal with the trolls in this matter. It’s really only another way of feeding them. If you have a topic to bring up, please post it under that topic. Besides <german accent> ve haff vays off dealing with trolls </german accent>

Also, it makes newcomers to the board think that we’re all nuts, and God knows there’s enough evidence for that elsewhere.

We really need an official manner of dealing with them.
From what I’ve seen, MM is probably the best fed troll here.

I like the idea of just ignoring them once Identified.
You’d open a thread, see the troll alert, and just leave.

Of course, getting this bunch of individualists to act in concert will be a miracle! :slight_smile:

If you recognize an otherwise good person becoming troll bait, a gentle private email might help.
Altho the antics by the multitude here sure had me rolling on the floor.

The thing about this MM guy is that he has posted one or two non-trolling, seemingly intelligent things in other posts. I can’t seem to get a handle on what he is trying to do. Is he just young and immature?

I have a hobby. I have the world’s largest collection of seashells. I keep it scattered on beaches all over the world. Maybe you’ve seen some of it.
