The only possible confusion would be if he was complaining about the person who posted the link to the BS video on the thread. Given that that person was him, I feel confident in his assertion that it wasn’t his intent.

I think this is the correct interpretation. Without noticing that I was the OP of that (bumped) post, I can see where the confusion from the mod note could have arisen.

I’m sorry you feel slighted, but as has been pointed out, I was basically agreeing with you. And, further, sorry that my explanation doesn’t satisfy you but I can assure you I was not accusing you or anyone else of thread shitting.

The “explanation” also suggests the Lucas_Jackson doesn’t know why people post videos with fake information on YouTube. Which would be an incredibly naïve stance.

Being naive, wouldn’t make bad or wrong. However, I have also addressed this in that thread as well. I understand that sensational verbiage in links causes clicks. I understand what click-baits are. However, it’s been my experience (with science-y type videos) that once you get past that, the videos rarely pursue the line of the sensationalism. They usually say something like “so they say…” as a way of excusing or justifying the sensational headline. In this case however, they doubled down - I’ve just never seen it done that way. I’m sure it happens, but I don’t watch that type of content.

Exactly. I looked at the posts around the flag, but hadn’t read the whole thread.

I am confident that I (and FTG) misread @Lucas_Jackson 's post, and it was perfectly acceptable for the thread and the forum.

Also, it’s only a mod note. Mod notes are intended to steer a thread back on track, but unless they are ignored, they don’t really have a lot of consequences beyond the immediate result to the thread. “Restoring a mod note” doesn’t really do anything. So your request is, at best, peculiar.
