I am so pleased that all seven of your children could come see you, and your nine grandchildren could let you know how precious you were, and are.
Even though I’m a secular guy, I hope your lifelong devout Catholicism comes true.
I love you Dad. I miss you already. I’m glad I was there for your passing; to hold your hand and talk to you and stroke your forehead as you went.
They broke the mold after you, Dad. I’m proud to be your son.

My heart goes out to you, losing a parent is always hard. It leaves a hole in your life that doesn’t heal easily. It sounds like you have a close family, I hope you’re finding comfort in being together.
