This time of division and polarization must end. In my youth, I was a baseball. We must move forward, not backward, upwards, not forward. And always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom! I’m so tired of Dopers always saying this elitist term.
I’d like to see that go further, excluding all celestial bodies and breakfast cereal marshmallow shapes on sneetch bellies from derision.
Resolved, no further usage of the word, “resolved,” unless you’re cleaning your carpet.
Funny seeing this now.
I just posted yesterday my very first reference to sneetches since childhood, while riffing off the idea of a “cat convertor”.
Now I see the OP. I didn’t realize I was walking so close to the line!
Okay then:
Snerks
Snicks
Snallas
Skeeters
Slathers
Smikes
Scooby
Thelma
&
SpongeBob (RIP)
Just sayin’
I actually didn’t read your thread or post. I’m going to assume it was innocent and that you are now better informed. I’d forgotten about the machines.
Skittles? Sufferin’ succotash.
I’m tired of the stereotype that sneeches only like to live by the shore and greedily buy up all coastal property. “Sneeches get beaches” is just untrue. They like mountains, plains, lakes, all kinds of terrain.
Now, really?
Don’t put words in my mouth.
I never said that S-word!
I would never use that in polite society.
Apparently, the mushrooms they grow up in Canada are particularly effective.
It’s the Australian ones you have to watch out for these days.
#uponthars
Do they bite?
No. You just have to jump on them with both feet. Or throw a turtle shell at one, but that has its own problems.
There’s a somewhat popular TikTok poster who talks about his experiences working at the front desk at a hotel that’s part of a chain. He uses the term Star-Bellied Sneetch, along with a hand gesture like a star, to describe customers who are in the chain’s loyalty program and ask for, nay, demand, special treatment. One of his posts described how he was looking for a term that captures their attitude when he came across SBS. I think it fits perfectly and is quite humorous in its use.
Of course I know the OP is kidding, unless @Dr_Paprika is actually a (dum-dum-dum) SBS!
Sneetches get steetches.
In my youth, we worked hard to hit guys like you out of the yard.
And we didn’t cotton to no belly itchers, either!
We want your peeches, not star-bellied sneetches…
Unless you’re moving out to Georgia…
And you’re gonna eat a lot of peeches.
As long as they don’t have a rubber arm.
