Happy Easter to those who observe and happy spring to those who don’t.
Mooom, weddings are the price you pay for the reception.
I went to see the author Buzzy Jackson last evening at her book signing. I met up with some of my peeps there and hung out drinking coffee for a while after.
Since the weekend chores are done, I’m going to play in the studio until time to make the salad and go to the park for the potluck.
Going to the armpit sometime today.
i was supposed to go early but that’s not going to happen.
I agree FCM I don’t like to go to weddings and I don’t like dressing up and I don’t like spending money on clothes I won’t wear again.
I didn’t even want to go to my own wedding and I asked for the shortest ceremony possible.
I agree Red, the reception is the reward for sitting through the wedding.
Once a co-irker gave the office an invitation to her wedding but not the reception because they couldn’t afford to include everybody.
She was really shocked that some of us didn’t want to share in her happy day.
Although it could have been just a shameless bid for a gift.
In the unlikely event I ever marry again I will elope, Be prepared for the reversal of global warming though, because I’m pretty sure if I ever marry again hell will freeze over.
He has least bad hit(s), but nothing of his is good, let alone great!
This weekend’s training was stairs!
For those who went to dawn services today, it is a sunrise service or a Son rise service?
There was some group holding a service on the steps as the sky was getting brighter first this this morn. They had a 8-10’ cross that they were using as part of it, which then left there, right in the middle where it would be in tourist’s pictures. I do not like people who thrust their religion upon others. I don’t care who/what you worship; however, when you bring other unwilling participants into it, it’s wrong. (Yeah, I don’t like the door-knockers either)
BTW, Happy Easter for those celebrating.
Then I went into the Art Museum for a bit. Now I’m home after being cultured, need a shower & a nap.
The Easter Feast was a success! Good company, good food, and a good time had by all. Everybody is gone and the dishwasher is doin’ it’s thing. Later this evenin’ I shall make a batch of cheese thangs. Hopefully the cheese and butter will be soft enough in a little while. They are for a reception in honor of my firend Arthur after his funeral tomorrow.
Home. We’ve been home about an hour. **FCD **and I are in chill mode, and Higgs has crashed on the back of her chair. It was crazy and noisy at Mom’s, so the quiet of home is wonderful!!
I found a pantsuit on line that I think will work great for the wedding. I went ahead and ordered it and if I hate it, I’ve still got tons of time to find something else. Once I settle on my outfit, I’ll figure out what shoes to wear.
Two batches of cheese thangs made and the kitchen is all clean. I even emptied the dishwasher. Go Me! However, I’s tahrd!
{{{sari}}} there’s a stomach virus goin’ around here. Several people have been out of irk with it this past week and last night several people were talkin’ about it at the church house. Hope you’re better soonest. From what I’ve been told it takes about 48 hours to get through it all. Here’s soft kitty.
I didn’t expect to wake up this way. I’m okay as long as I don’t eat.
It’s late but we are heading out for the armpit now. I’m leaving my puter here, I’m not planning on irking until I get home tomorrow evening so I don’t need it and it’s one less thing to carry.
I have to load the dirty dishes into the washer, pack a change of clothes and my meds and I’m ready to go.
Made it through work. people were picking over the Easter candy, one lady was loudly bitching that there was too much Jesus stuff in the Easter.:dubious:[sup][sup]11[/sup][/sup].
Feel better, sari!
MMMMooooommmm, i’m not a wedding fan either. Mainly because I always get roped into working.
