Restaurant 4-26

Have to wait two weeks for the next installment…oh well.

We now have a “Greek chourus” updating when they are at the computer. Rocco is still clueless and immature.

Any commets?

I think it’s funny that the “villain” of this show (Chowdorow, the money guy) is literally the only cast member with any redeeming values whatsoever.

Lemme be sure I’ve got this straight – he:

  • wants to make the restaurant profitable

  • has talked about giving the staff 401(k) plans

  • got rid of the weasely intern after investigating complaints about him

And he’s the bad guy? Sheesh.

And Rocco? Bad form to lie about not getting financials. If they were sent to your restaurant manager, they were assuredly sent to you. Failing to periodically review the contents of your inbox is not the same as not getting something.

The Greek Chorus bit was funny. I’m sure they’re all just dying to know what’s going on.
As for Rocco being clueless and immmature… boy, is that an understatement!

I can’t believe the intern called Rocco a douchebag like that, when he knew he would hear him. And getting behind the bar? Bad idea.

Planet Hollywood used to charge like $15 for a $8 burger because people thought they might see a star in the restaurant. When people figured out that they were never going to see a star, they realized $15 was too much to pay for a burger. From what I saw last night, women are going to Roccos to get a picture with Rocco. As long as Rocco is out on the floor schmoozing, you can charge $15 for that $8 burger. If Rocco’s gone, that $15 burger better taste like a $20 burger.

I see lots of women eating there, but I don’t see the big guys, the guys who wear three piece suits and throw hundreds around like water.

The drink service still floors me. They’re just flat out pissing money away.

Chowdorow is suspiciously very good at being a narrator for the show. Sorry, but I have to sneak in a Simpsons quote. “It’s chowdah. Say it right.”

Drew the intern had the potential to be the new Omarosa. That kid had some kinda chutzpah to walk into the joint and start acting as if he were Chodorow. Pity he got canned.

I was in Manhattan over the weekend and I was tempted to have lunch at Rocco’s, but reviews of the place said it had high prices and bad food.

Has anyone eaten there?

I only caught part of last night’s episode. Not really a fan, but the wife is a reality TV nut, so…

I thought Rocco was a schmuck the first time around, and I ain’t seen nothing to change my mind. The only celebrity chef who I dislike more is Bobby Flay, and I’m starting to think Rocco might give him a run for the money.

Hope the money guy gets the restaraunt. It would be funny if he keeps Momma on staff though.

Ate there in February - one of my manufacturers took us out while we were in town for Toy Fair. Anyway, some of the food was just bad, but the lemon shrimp appetizer was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Service sucked - Momma was there, but I didn’t seek her out. The restaurant is so small compared to what it looks like on television. On a scale of 1-10, I’d give it a 4.

If I went there, I sure wouldn’t order Mama’s Meatballs - not after seeing her make them with her bare hands and no hairnet.

This is my first episode of the new season after watching all of last season and laughing at all the idiots.

All I have to say is “What happened to the idiots? And where did all of these new idiots come from?”

I think Rocco, Jeffrey Chodorow, and Laurent are the only returning “cast” members. And Laurent hardly appeared this episode.

Cpatain Douchebag! Bwha!

“I don’t like your personality!” Wait, wrong show… Still fits, oddly enough.
