I would just point out that in addition to “Whataburger,” there is also a smaller chain in the Southeast called What-A-Burger.
“In the last two years” changes things for me a bit. Decades ago I lived on fast food. Lately, hardly at all.
Some of these are regional–so there’s a bias there.
If by “some of these” you mean “most of these”. I count 29 out of 58 poll options which, as far as I know, don’t have any locations in the greater Seattle/Tacoma area.
I voted before reading the “last two years” modifier.
That brings it down to just Panera and Subway.
Yeah, some of these I’ve never even heard of; and some I have heard of, but they don’t have 'em around here.
My understanding is that Checkers and Rally’s are essentially the same thing, so I selected the former in the poll, even though I’ve only ever been to the latter.
Hardees and Carl’s Jr. are pretty much the same too. Yet I have eaten at both. How sad…
ETA: I too missed the “in the last two years” modifier. That’s really gonna skew the results, Nemo. Who the hell reads the OP before voting? 
Okay, the “in appoximately the last two years” bit should have been in the thread title.
I caught “last 2 years” just before I submitted, but my memory being what it is, I might have included something that was from farther back. Most of my choices would have been for 1 or maybe 2 times in the last few years, and mainly when on the road. In everyday life, I pretty much avoid fast food places. When I go out, I want a nice table, a server, and real plates and flatware. Bonus for a tablecloth. 
Like others I answered before I read the first post. There were several I had only eaten in once or twice and not in the last two years.

Nope. The poll question is, “Which of the following restaurants have you eaten at?”, followed by a list of options. The question is pretty straightforward, and didn’t seem to need any more explanation.
I checked off a lot of them, then got to the bottom, read “the last two years,” and went back and unchecked about 3/4 of the ones I had checked. Wish it had said that in the thread title.

I buy coffee (and only coffee, I don’t believe in coffee as drinkable dessert) at Starbucks when I am on the road and there is no ready alternative. I bought a green salad with chicken at a MacDonalds once, maybe twice (see, no ready alternative, above), but not within the last two years. And that would be it.
I guess I am not supporting the food service industry the way I should.
I missed the two year qualification as well.
