BTW, Brutus if you look at the original Reuters article, the “official investigation” that took place back in January at the time of the complaint was closed in favour of the soliders… without interviewing the complainants.
The complainants side of the story was based only on transcripts of initial interviews conducted after their release.
The troops were asked under oath if they’d abused anyone, they basically said “Nope.” End of investigation.
But the soldiers were cleared of wrong-doing. Yup.
