Revenge (ABC TV Show)

No, I think his plan was just to split them up. Jack coming over was an unexpected bonus. In fact, I have a theory, which I’ll put in spoiler boxes. It’s all speculation, based on no actual spoilers, but better safe than sorry.

Harvard Guy is in fact obsessed with Daniel, and is trying to split up Daniel and Emily. So much so that it will turn out that he is Daniel’s killer from the opening scene, in a “if I can’t have him no one will” twist. Further, he set up Jack to take the fall for the death (hence his appearance at the end of the scene) to ensure that Emily won’t be happy no matter what. This then sets up next season, as Emily takes her revenge on Harvard Guy.

Brilliant! That would be amazing…

jSexton, that was some good speculation.shame people here on the dope don’t actually write the plots for these tv shows…

FYI, the show Revenge has been picked up and extended for the full season.

So, from the most recent episode, I guess we will see a lot of revenge on people we don’t yet know about. I don’t believe there was any mention of a psychiatrist until she became a target. I guess we will be surprised when revenge is taken upon that evil hairdresser, that smart-assed DMV clerk and that woman who had 12 items in the under 10 item line at the supermarket.

I have to say though after watching the psychiatrist talking to young Amanda I wanted revenge on her.

So I’m new here and haven’t had a chance to read thru all the posts just yet, but surely someone has mentioned on here that it’s possible it’s not Daniel who was shot in the first episode???

I wanted to say that it’s unlikely since Charlotte is the one who sounds the alarm, but from rewatching that scene in the pilot it looks like only Declan actually looked at the body before she ran off for help.

Hmm…Daniel and Charlotte’s soon-to-be former boyfriend are about the same size and coloring, and we never do see dead guy’s face… But if it’s not Daniel, why would Declan not correct the impression that it is? You’d think if he saw his (presumably) girlfriend freak out thinking her brother was dead, he’d make sure she knew otherwise immediately.

I’m just waiting for the big reveal to eventually be that Amanda/Emily’s father really was guilty as charged.

I’ll have to re-watch again as well. I didnt see Declan see the face…and it’s clear the audience never does or anyone at the party. I’m thinking possibly Tyler could be the shooting victim.

Looks like episode 15 we find out for sure who was murdered on the beach

JSexton, give your wife my props for the nice call on Tyler being gay. I’m not at all surprised that Nolan is bi, though.

So…tonight I decided that the reason Charlotte isn’t her mommy’s favorite is because Conrad isn’t her dad. I haven’t worked out yet if she’s Emily’s half-sister, or Frank’s daughter.

That would explain her not being Conrad’s favorite (if he knew) instead of spoiling her rotten, but I don’t see why the mom would feel like that. If anything you’d think she’d be all “all I have left of whatsisname” and dote on the kid a suspicious amount.

I’m really enjoying this show. It’s ludicrous, but fun. I love all the twists and turns it’s taking, and how we find out a little more of the backstory each week.

My only complaints are two very annoying characters: Declan, who gives the rich folks a reason to look down on the peasants. And Ashley, who is just plain annoying–especially her habit of trying to look professional (unconvincingly) by appraising ongoing party preparations and incessantly tapping on her iPad as if she’s making crucial adjustments to the fabric of reality.

Isn’t Charlotte the younger of the two? So it would make more sense if Daniel was secretly David’s son. She’d dote on the son who is the child of her true love David, and have mixed feelings about Conrad’s daughter. It would add an element of incest to his relationship with Emily, but I could see the show going there.

Up until they started sleeping together I could’ve seen that being the case, but I can’t see them going there now. This isn’t HBO.

Told you :stuck_out_tongue:

Doesn’t count until we see Maury Povitch give us the news of who IS the father.

My tip would have been that she was dating/sleeping with her half-brother, but that probably would have creeped out the audience a tad much.

I think television and movies could be greatly improved if everyone would commit to a Maury cameo whenever news like this came about. Nothing big - just walking in the background, sitting at an outdoor cafe, or on TV in the background even. It could become a game “spot the Maury”. Come on, TV people. Let’s get on this! Maury! Maury!

Hi - I admit I’ve gotten hooked on this guilty pleasure. I’m cheering Emily on. And I love her billionaire friend/co-conspirator.
Question - was it ever stated what motive the bad evil rich people had for framing and destroying Emily’s father? Other than being bad evil rich people?
and do we know for sure if Daniel was killed in that opening episode or merely badly hurt?
I hope Jack (who has to dump Fauxmanda SOON)) doesn’t get blamed, whichever it is.
