I think she and Kristen Stewart have the same acting coach.
They’re getting a twisted little story going. This show is definitely not about survival, that seems to be easy for everyone.
I’m torn.
So far the show sucks… but the chick is hot!
Why god? Why do you taunt me??
Imma give it one more episode…
Totally.
Missed the Pilot, was working. The commercials had me in fits. Where can I see the pilot episode???
Made it thru 2 episodes, dead people alive, electricity works for some only with the thingie, and the fights, will give it one more. Its not like “Firefly” but then what else would be. not like “Hunger games” either. I did find “Elementary” could be a new “House”
SPOILER ALERT
Not much to spoil though. Third episode was pedestrian. (See what I did there?) The show is just starting and already there are throwaway episodes. In flashbacks they delve into Miles’ involvement with Monroe and the militia but really it’s nothing you wouldn’t expect. The episode ends almost where it began. Miles, Bratty Girl, and Hard Outside/Soft Inside Chick walking away (sans sniper rifle) and the expendables still alive (having seen the magic of the device). Not sure how much longer I’ll hang in on this one now that shows I do like are coming back.
That’s the nice thing about TV these days. There usually is something better. A friend of mine watched Elementary and said it was pretty likable, so I’ll be checking that out.
I already chucked this show, but I’m staying in the thread because I love TV snark. They’re doing boring flashbacks a la Lost? I feel like watching it again just so I can dump it again.
Okay, Stuart Redman and Frannie was a nice touch.
Just watched this weeks episode. I thought it was good. The flashbacks didn’t annoy me too much, and I’d like to see what happens next.
Yes, but in a pleasant twist the flashbacks are relevant to the story. I could not stand the self-indulgent time-killer flashbacks in Lost that had nothing to do with anything. By early in the second season I was FFWDing past every flashback scene and never missed a single thing.
As for the premise, yeah, I’m siding with the Militia.
So, you didn’t see the flashback with Walt being told by Jacob, a ghost from 4,815 B.C.E. Tunisia, about the white numbers which cancel out the already known black numbers explaining why the 4-toed Egyptian goddess caused pregnant mothers to die after giving birth because by turning the frozen donkey wheel, the electromagnetic forces strained the uterus’s flux capacitor, causing copious amounts of black smoke to—crap, it’s too complicated and I’ve already said too much.
Mwa ha ha…
My mom is still pissed about the “resolution” of Lost. It didn’t bother me at all. Losing so many characters in the last few episodes was rather traumatic though. I was rather fond of Sayid.
Back to Revolution. I found the references to The Stand kind of lame. It’s a great book - I’ve read it like 3-4 times, and I think it may be King’s best - but don’t set yourself up for comparisons, Revolution. Bad idea, especially this early on. Plus, Frannie and Stu were a couple in The Stand, weren’t they? Kind of a squicky alias for a man and his niece.
So… Sometimes the magical acorn pendants work, sometimes they don’t. What’s the trigger? Right before it came on, the nerdy guy was talking about his life before and after the blackout. If the pendants are activated by emotion, I’m going to have to kick someone in the face. :dubious:
Ugh, Danny, the brother, really really needs to go. First, he tries to take on men armed with firearms with a crossbow, which gets his father killed. Now, he tries to strangle a militia member while in the middle of their own camp. Forget about all talk with nothing to back it up, he doesn’t even having a checking account for what he’s writing. His sister show some sign of figuring things out, but he’s getting to the “too dumb to live” point.
How about it gets to “clap your hands if you believe”?
At least they didn’t drag things out - Google guy knows can bring back electricity, and Charlie knows at least the basics about her uncle. By epidsode 3!

I watched the third episode last night on Hulu. I think I’m done. For so many of the reasons you all mentioned. But also because I’m bored with this show. I forgot I was watching it and wandered off to do the dishes last night. Not a sign of a show that’s captured my attention in any way.
Agreed. His idiocy started all the problems that everyone is having now - we’re supposed to feel sympathy for him? This is his world - he knew what was going down when the militia showed up for his dad. And why is it taking forever for them to get to Monroe?
ETA: And another thing - it’s a post-apocalyptic world. How is his sister supposed to be responsible for him his entire life? And why doesn’t he have any herbs or something that he keeps with him for his asthma? People die from that, you know.
Another vote for Danny needing to go. So far I’ve not seen anything that makes him a sympathetic character in the least…he’s just a spoiled, stupid little boy.
YES!
