Rewatching Fringe. Unanswered questions. Spoilers abound and are encouraged.

2-11 was filmed for Season 1 but for some reason was held back until Season 2. Network shenanigans of some sort.

Ah-ha. Thanks Alessan, that makes it a lot clearer.

I’m up to 216 (“Peter”), one of the best SF tv episodes ever, and a couple of comments;

I love the '70s font used in the opening. Hell, the whole opening. :slight_smile:

It’s interesting to find out that Nina–who’s been technically honest up till now (deceptive as hell, evasions, half-truths yeah, but not actually lying) outright lied to Olivia about the origin of her robot hand.

Also, I don’t know if Dr. Warren was ever supposed to be a recurring character, but damn, I’m glad she didn’t. She is so annoying. There are many reasons to not explore certain areas of science, but “God told me that this is off limits” isn’t one of them.

We never do find out what was so important about Alter-Peter to the Observers, do we?

Up to 220 (“Brown Betty”). One of the best episodes ever. I love the bit where Rachael starts singing in Walter’s voice.

Also, Broyles has a really, really nice voice.

So does Astrid–I’m surprised she was good enough to hit that high note on “I Really Need This Job”. Apparently it’s hard to get right.

Nina is way underrated. She’s so good.

And I think this is the last time we see um…whatshername–Olivia’s niece. Which is a shame. Unlike 99.8% of other really little kid actors, this one can act and she adds to the show.

Also, yes…Inventor Walter is right: Singing Corpses are an idea who’s time has come.

Ah-ha. All that confusion I had upthread about Broyles was because I was confusing Broyles-Blue (ours) with Broyles-Red (theirs).

Ana Torv is so good. Without resorting to any sort of obvious “tells” (an accent, a peculiar gesture, etc), she’s able to make Oliva and Fauxlivia completely distinct. Walter/Walternate are two totally different people. While I love John Nobel’s acting, he’s not called upon to do the kind of subtle, intense job that Torv is.

(I’m up to the point where Olivia gets back home to the Blue universe (for lack of a better word)
