Sorry for wasting everyone’s time if you’re reading this, but I’m just getting so sick of hearing the Red Hot Chili Peppers singing Otherside.
I like the Chili Peppers, I own the CD Californication, and Otherside is my favorite song off that CD, but I’m at work today (on Saturday! God, my job sucks) and a co-worker has downloaded said song off the internet and I’ve been hearing it for the last hour over and over and over. .
Before Otherside, it was Cowboy by Kid Rock for the first hour of the day. At least the new song is a step up in taste. (If you’re a Kid Rock fan, my sincerest apologies that your parents did not raise you to know good music from bad.)
How can someone listen to the same song repeatedly like that? I love that song, but I’m getting really tired of hearing it. I know most people are going to tell me to go over and ask him to stop or turn it down, but he’s not really playing it that loudly, just loud enough that it’s constantly there softly in the background. On a regular workday, I wouldn’t even notice it, but since it’s Saturday, we’re running on a skeleton crew so there’s no ambient noise to cover it up.
Oh well, let’s just hope his next song isn’t Barry Manilow for the next 90 minutes.
