RIP Bobby Sherman

Maureen McCormick (Marcia, Marcia, Marcia) was in an episode of Love Boat with Bobby Sherman. Maybe Beck was remembering that.

I had a crush on Bobby. I had an album of his. Don’t remember which one, but I think it had a blue cover.

Marge Simpson had a crush on Bobby Sherman, much to Lisa’s amusement.

My sister was a big Bobby Sherman fan. I once violated one of her Bobby Sherman albums by drawing a beard and mustache on it.

I did like him in Here Come the Brides.

Ahh, yes. The Love Boat.

I knew they’d get together somehow.

I loved Bobby Sherman. LOVED HIM. Had a pile of Tiger Beats under my bed so I could gaze upon him without moving. Poster of him on my bedroom wall. My parents to me to Summerfest in Milwaukee so I could see him in concert.

Peace, love, and Bobby Sherman.

Trivia Challenge: What was the name of Bobby’s songwriter partner on Gettin’ Together?

No peeking on Lileks!

Is that Davey Jones or Walter Koenig on the left? I have trouble telling them apart. (No offense to Davey, but I do hope Walter is still alive.)

Lionel something. Played by Wes Stern.

Lionel Poindexter. No peeking needed!

It’s Davey. And, yes, Walter Koenig is still alive, at age 88.

Correct! :+1:

Well done! :vulcan_salute:

I watched “Emergency” as a kid. Was utterly glued to what they were doing and why.
Alongside some real-life situations as a teenager, this show guided me towards joining an upstate New York volunteer ambulance corps and eventually sitting for and getting my EMT Certification.

Kudos to Mr. Sherman for being similarly inspired. I respect the decades of public service he brought to California.
