I watched “Emergency” as a kid. Was utterly glued to what they were doing and why.
Alongside some real-life situations as a teenager, this show guided me towards joining an upstate New York volunteer ambulance corps and eventually sitting for and getting my EMT Certification.
Kudos to Mr. Sherman for being similarly inspired. I respect the decades of public service he brought to California.
