Actor and Tennessee Senator and presidential candidate Fred Thompson passed this afternoon.
As an actor, probably best known for his work as the DA on Law and Order as well as The Hunt for Red October.
RIP.
His younger children are still in middle school. I hope they were prepared for this.

I liked him a lot in In the Line of Fire as the overbearing White House chief of staff. Two of my Tennessee friends knew him slightly via politics, and liked him.
May he rest in peace.
I’ll always remember him from the second ***Die Hard ***movie.
